adrenaline family fun

Do you have a family and would like to have an active day together? Ski resort Stari Vrh, also called a family ski resort, is going to be our starting point. There is a brand new adrenaline park, where children can test their confidence level and have fun. The activities are supervised by professional park guides. In the meantime, we will do a mountain biking ride along the old military road up to the highest hill of Škofja Loka hills - Blegoš.

Gravel, wide-open old military road is going to lead us slightly uphill on the north side of Škofja Loka hills. While you will mountain bike through forest and fields you will also enjoy an astonishing view on Kamnik-Savinja Alps and Karawanke, which lies right next to the border with Austria. After a while, the road is slowly going to get steeper until we will reach the mountain hut under the hill Blegoš. We will leave our mountain bikes there and do a 20min hike up to the top of the hill, where you will not be disappointed with a 360 degrees view. On the way, you will encounter many bunkers from the 2nd world war, take some pictures of the Julian Alps and in case of a very clear sky also the Mediterranean sea. With our hike finished we will stop at the mountain restaurant and continue our bike ride on the south side of Škofja Loka hills. On our descent, we will pass many small pictures Slovenian villages that lie above Poljanska Valley and are also known by one of the sunniest villages in Slovenia.

Just underneath Stari Vrh we will pass many weekend houses, that people from Ljubljana and foreign countries use for a city break or summer and winter holidays. Slowly we will come back to our starting point, where your children are going to enjoy the last activity - zip line. With activities finished you will now have the time to go and enjoy lunch together at a local restaurant Gostišče Stari Vrh.
